worship with us
We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30am inside the Southeast Community Center located at 901 Shelby Street at the corner of Shelby and Pleasant Streets next to Arthur’s Music Store.
Location & Parking
You can park in the lot between Arthur’s Music Store and the Community Center. If you are walking, you can enter on the south-side entrance off the parking lot. There will be a greeter there to welcome you and help you find your way up the stairs. Come a few minutes early if you want to grab some coffee before we start, or feel free to stay after for coffee and donuts.
What to Expect
Our printed worship guides will walk you through the service. We are a low-key church, and sing a mix of old hymns to new music as well as original music by various artists connected to our church. We have times for responsive readings and prayer. In the end, we hope our worship gathering in all its elements centers around Jesus, and we hope you will join and participate to whatever degree you feel comfortable. You can listen to past sermons here, and hear some of the style of music we sing by visiting our Spotify page and the Spotify page of our planting church.
For Children
If you have children, you are more than welcome to keep them with you in the service. Our world often sees children as an interruption, but we welcome them as Jesus did as the gift that they are. We invite them to join in during prayer times. We do have a nursery available for children (up to age 3) throughout the entire service and children’s worship (pre-k to 1st grade) that is announced part-way through the service. All volunteers have current background checks to ensure our little ones are in loving hands. Feel free to ask a member of the welcome team for more information about the nursery or children’s worship.
What to Wear
You will find an array on any Sunday morning of what people wear. Many wear jeans and casual attire. It really does not matter how you come – we just hope you join us.
